Don’ts of Great Hair Care

Donts of Great Hair CareA girl’s worst nightmare comes true when she has a bad hair day or has to hear people commenting on how dry her hair looks or even worse, when the love of her life is trying to mess up her hair as an attempt at being cute but the look on his face changes as soon as he feels the texture of her hair. Does this scenario sound familiar to you? Have you been through the same thing and wondered where you went wrong but can’t figure out the answer? The answer is here.

Given below are the definite no-no’s of great hair care. Ensure that you pay heed to these:

  • Heating appliances must not be used regularly. They are bad for the hair even if they are used once in a while but they must be excluded from regular hair treatment routines. Curling irons or hair straighteners should be used as little as possible.

  • Do not allow anyone to talk you into getting a particular hair style. It’s your hair and money that matters and if you don’t like your own style, you’ll land up not caring for your hair the way you should.

  • Do not put too many chemicals into your hair regularly because over processing the hair can damage the hair. Do not perm and colour the hair at the same time. Give your hair time to get back its required lustre with nutrition over time.

  • Do not try to colour your hair with some home-made colour. Use a reliable product found in the market. Also, do not try to cut your own hair because more often than not, it makes the hair uneven since you cannot see what and how much is being cut.

  • Do not use too many products on your hair-do not overload your hair with chemicals of any sort. Too much product could make the hair sticky and hard to manage. Styling sprays should be used only on special occasions and not all the time. A style that suits you and is manageable is a must to avoid this problem.

  • Clarifying hair care products should not be used more than once every week. Such products make the hair dry and brittle by removing the moisture content of hair. They can be used every second week and because of their de-moisturizing effect, a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner should be added to the hair care routine.

  • During summer months, chlorine, salt water and the sun should be avoided as much as possible because they deteriorate the condition of the hair and the damage caused is irreversible

  • Do not be impatient and harsh with your hair. Being gentle and taking time to brush the hair or to wash it properly leads to better hair care. Do not even use elastic rubber bands because a lot of hair is pulled out in the process of removing it from the hair.

Only you can take care of your hair the way you want to maintain it. Avoid these tips above and everything should be fine with your hair!
