Shelby SuperCars Inc. (SSC) is an American US based automobile manufacturing company founded in 1999. It is owned and cars are designed by Jerod Shelby. The company is situated in West Richland, near the Tri-Cities, Washington. Most of the time this companies name is mixed with Carroll Shelby International but they both are different companies.
Shelby Supercars Inc. made model named SSC Aero. Its production started in 2006 and continues till date and still 25 of them are under production. Its Body style includes 2-seat Berlinetta having Rear mid-engine, rear-wheel drive and platform 27.59. It has Length, Width, Height 4,475.5 millimeters (176.20 in), 2,095.5 millimeters (82.50 in) and 1,092.2 millimeters (43.00 in) respectively. Its Curb weight is 1,250 kilograms (2,800 lb).
SSC was created with the keeping in mind to create a world class automotive manufacturer. It took 7 years to make a super class model and the aim of company was achieved on September 13th 2007 as then only when SSC Aero became the World’s Fastest Production Car. It was announced by Guinness World Records.
Its model SSC Aero was very competitive as compared to Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti, and Koenigsegg. SSC even continues to grow rapidly and progress faster in its development and production of fastest world class supercars. SCC is currently planning to invent Green Technology into its supercars for near future.
Designer of Jones & Son Chassis, Inc., that is North America’s premier custom motorhome chassis has agreed to an exclusive agreement with SSC Green Inc. of West Richland, Washington to fit in with group SSC Green’s All Electric Scalable Powertrain (AESP) to basically produce a hybrid motorhome chassis platform. This will be beneficial for the customers and environment.
“SSC Green’s AESP were the only solution to actually meet the required specifications and capabilities of our motorhome chassis.” said Jones & chassis in meeting with several companies and researching various entities in the EV drivetrain industry.
On February 27th, 2009 Shelby SuperCars proudly declared grand opening of Shelby SuperCars Middle East (SSC ME). It took place at the world renowned Dubai Autodrome that was during the Grand Racing Weekend, SSC ME that they officially announce the opening of the Dubai showroom on the prestigious Sheikh Zayed road. This long awaited event for the company and SSC ME will now be the new international headquarters for Shelby SuperCars.
The flagship showroom of the Middle East which is located on Sheikh Zayed Road, only displayed the car of high class automaker’s that is “Fastest Production Car in the World,” the Ultimate Aero. As SSC has lots of co-branding relationships with high class fashion designers, so the showroom even provided the SSC apparel, accessories and merchandise with an exclusive café for its guests and visitors.
