Travelling is one of the most exciting hobbies one can ever pursue. It involves physical and mental labor. It is very necessary not to upset your biological clock while you travel. Make sure that you do not reduce the intake of water while you travel. Have proper meals and do not over eat just to reduce fatigue or tiredness of the journey. Take adequate breaks incase you are driving and do not over stress yourself. Eating less with short breaks is also advisable while travelling on road.
Have a thorough medical check up before you leave and also check with your medical insurance provider if illness during a vacation is covered under medical care and medical evacuation. You must always receive the necessary vaccinations six weeks before the travel date. Travelling may decrease your resistance and make you prone to a variety of diseases, so it is very important that one exercise regularly, has nutritious food and adequate sleep. Keep alcohol consumption low especially while driving in order to avoid any accidents or mishaps! It is also very essential to keep healthy while flights and sea cruises. Never fly with an empty stomach but have a light meal before your flight. Take proper medication for sea sickness or vertigo before you set on your journey. A good night’s sleep is very essential before your travel since it keeps your immune system stronger and helps resist many infections.
