A beverage is a liquid which is specially prepared for human consumption. A beverage is considered as one of the basic needs of a human being. It forms a major part of human culture. It can be consumed along with any meal; breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner etc. Beverages can be classified into hot and cold beverages. They can also be classified into soft and hard drinks. Hot beverages are those which are served in a heated form. Cold beverages are those which are served in the chilled form. Hard drinks are those which contain alcohol. Soft drinks are those beverages which do not contain any alcoholic content. There are many types of soft drinks. Soda is a type of soft drink in which water is carbonated. Carbon dioxide gas is added to the water under pressure. Hence the water becomes bubbly.
