Proton (Carmaker)

Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional better known as National Automobile Enterprise or PROTON, is a Malaysian automobile manufacturer founded in the year 1983. It was Malaysia’s only carmaker for a span of 10 years, until the establishment of Perodua, its competitor. The company has its headquarters at Shah Alam, Selangor, with a manufacturing plant in Tanjung Malim, Perak.
