QWERTY Devices

To start with, QWERTY is the layout of letters on a standard keyboard. Almost every keyboard found now has this layout. It is so called because the first row of letters on keypad starts with Q, then W, then E, R, T,Y and so on.

The QWERTY layout is the most used modern-day keyboard layout on English language keyboards and typewriters. This layout was first designed by C.Latham Sholes in 1874 and sold to Remington in the same year when it first appeared in typewriters. It soon became the standard layout for all typewriters and is now used by almost all electronic keyboards. (more…)
